2005 MARKET UPDATE
HOMEOWNER'S:
Two requests on the Personal Lines Survey were for Access to Chubb Custom (The E&S Program of Chubb) coverage's for High Value Homeowners.
Request granted. JHA was just appointed as one of two "Providers" for Chubb Custom Insurance Company products on ex-wind homeowners. If you have existing policies that come up for renewal or if you have a new risk where you think it would fit their requirements, call us and find out the full story, we have quoting and binding authority up to $2,500,000 Value.
MORE ON HOMEOWNER'S:
Another new facility with another new carrier. They want to write HO3 business, values up to $5,000,000 are possible and minimum value is $250,000 at this time. They have some wind available and, although some counties are on the restrictive list, Dade County (go figure!) is available. Their policy wording has some valuable "bells & whistles".
We are also talking to them about Commercial property coverage.
COMMERCIAL GENERAL LIABILITY:
We have a new facility that is somewhat unique. They intend to quote and write Commercial General Liability risks where terms can usually NOT be obtained from other markets.
The first two submissions we made were both quoted and we have favorable responses from the agents. This facility has set itself up to do the "impossible" risks. Their coverage basis is on their own manuscript forms, which are similar to the old 1973 claims made forms. They have lots of restrictive endorsements, stringent payment procedures and commissions (which are not high) depending on premium size. However, they could be a valuable asset for the new and unusual risk. Try it and see.
MORE ON COMMERCIAL GENERAL LIABILITY:
We recently connected with another carrier that will write the more usual G.L. Risks but at better pricing than some of our more traditional markets. They are "A" Rated by Best and we have quoting/binding powers. It's early days but we've already bound a few risks so it's looking promising. This has helped some of our Agents so you might want to try us and see.
