Established in 1983 in St. Petersburg, Florida, JHA is a full-service Surplus Lines Wholesaler. We place only Florida business and only for independent Agents. Our objective is to provide prompt and professional service to agents and to develop profitable relationships with our selection of "A" rated companies. We stay "fast on our feet" with new coverages for the changing marketplace. We have a collection of binding authorities where several markets entrust us with broad underwriting, binding and claim authority, on their behalf. We also broker business to many "A" rated carriers who are leaders in the surplus lines industry. We are long standing members of F.S.L.A. (Florida Surplus Lines Association) and N.A.P.S.L.O. (National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices). We are associate members of F.A.I.A. and several local Independent Agent Associations.

We are proud that, since JHA opened in 1983, we have never had an insurance company cause an insolvency problem for our agents or insureds. We have never had an errors and omissions claim. We have no "Debt" with any of our agents, or with any company. We are highly automated to provide fast policy service. Several companies use our sophisticated computer programs for reporting of business, establishing catastrophe aggregates, etc. We operate several different types of account current statements for our agents. Different commission arrangements are available based on volume commitments.
